Cabernet Sauvignon, 2003
Napa Valley

The 2003 Esca Cabernet Sauvignon was made from 100% Napa Valley grapes grown on the western hillsides of St. Helena in the Spring Mountain AVA. The wine was aged for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels and was bottled in April 2005.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and has tremendous concentration. The nose reveals ripe blackberry aromas, blcak licorice, cedar and sage with underlying mineral and earthy tones. The wine is big-bodied with mouth-coating tannins.

Syrah, 2003
Napa Valley

The 2003 Esca Syrah was made from 100% Napa Valley grapes grown on the western hillsides of St. Helena in the Spring Mountain AVA. The wine was aged for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels and was bottled in April 2005.

This Syrah is ripe and complex. It offers aromas of black cherry, currant liqueur and bittersweet coca. The wine has hints of vanilla and well-intergrated tannins on the palate.

Zinfandel, 2003
Sonoma County

The 2003 Esca Zinfandel was made from 100% Sonoma County grapes grown in the Dry Creek AVA. The wine was aged for 18 months in 50% French and 50% American oak barrels and was bottled in April 2005.

The Esca Zinfandel is elegant and focused. It shows classic Zinfandel characteristics through wild berry, boysenberry and peppery aromas. This bright and balanced wine pairs very well with food.
